The Studio Curran Difference
Pilates exists in many beautiful forms, and every method has something meaningful to offer. At Studio Curran, the work is rooted in Classical Pilates — a direct lineage passed from Joseph Pilates through his original students, and now into its third generation of dedicated instructors. Jenn Curran is one of those third-generation instructors.
Education and training matter. Jenn is currently an apprentice instructor working on her certification at the Art of Control and Science in Stamford, CT, owned and operated by Simona Cipriani. Simona is a world-renown Pilates master instructor who studied directly with Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’s protege.
That lineage matters: it means the method you receive here is intentional, historically grounded, and taught with a depth of understanding that only comes from careful, dedicated study within a true mentorship tradition.
Equally important is the environment in which that work happens. Studio Curran is designed to feel like a living room — warm, unhurried, and free from harsh lighting or clinical sterility. Instruction here is trauma-informed and neurodivergent-friendly, because great Pilates teaching begins with seeing the whole person in front of you.
